UK funding data tools for recruiters, compared.
Every product we know of that tells you which UK companies have money, what each one costs, and what it can and cannot see. Priorfile is on the list, in its place.
The only distinction that matters
What does it read?
A product built from press announcements can never show you a company that raised quietly, and roughly three in four UK raises are quiet. A product built from Companies House filings can. Everything else, price, interface, contacts, is a preference. This is not.

Choosing
Which to buy.
Budget over £20,000
Beauhurst, and it is not a close call. Depth, history, investors, verification. Nothing here competes with it on completeness.
You want to browse the market
Funding Spotter at £100. Every detected round, an officer network and a map. If you like doing your own filtering, this is the best value in the category.
You run one desk
Priorfile. Your sector, unannounced raises, directors named, four minutes on a Monday. And if announced companies are enough for you, Growth List is a quarter of the price.
Prices read from each provider’s own pages on 1 September 2026. If any of this is out of date or wrong, tell me and it gets corrected.
Questions
Asked plainly.
What is the best funding data tool for UK recruiters?
It depends on budget and on whether announced companies are enough. Beauhurst is the most complete and costs £24,500 a year. Funding Spotter is the best value for browsing every detected UK round at £100 a month. Growth List is the cheapest way to get announced companies with contact emails. Priorfile is the only one that cuts UK filings by sector for a single desk with director names and an announcement check.
Which tools can see unannounced funding rounds?
Only those that read Companies House share allotment filings: Beauhurst, Funding Spotter, Deal Lite and Priorfile. Every product built from press announcements is structurally unable to, because there is nothing to collect.
How many UK equity deals are never announced?
Beauhurst puts it at about 61% of deals in 2024 and more than three quarters of raises under £500,000. Priorfile checked 60 companies from the week to 28 August 2026 and found no public announcement for 45 of them.
What is the cheapest option?
Free. The Companies House Follow service emails you whenever a company you follow files anything, at no cost and with no limit. It is monitoring rather than discovery: you have to know which companies to follow first.
100 companies took the money last week. Three in four never told anyone.
The next register is published Monday. Read last week’s first — there is nothing to enter and nothing to book.
